Dean Student Welfare

Highly skilled and experienced orthodontist with a teaching experience of 22 years in Subharti Dental College, Meerut. Presently he is working as a Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Subharti Dental College. Along with this, he also has the additional responsibilities of being theexecutive committee member of Finance Committee of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, treasurer and three times executive committee member of the Indian Orthodontic Society. He aims to ensure that every student feels valued and has access to the opportunities and resources necessary for their personal growth and academic success.

Additional Dean Student Welfare

Having more than 17 years experience of teaching  in the field of Law. Her area of specialization is Arbitration, Family law and Criminal law. She has supervised more than 15 dissertation and 06 students are doing their doctoral research under her guidance. She has participated in various national and international seminars and workshops and honoured with various awards.

Responsibilities of the Dean, Students’ Welfare (DSW):

The Office of the Dean, Students’ Welfare primarily looks after the welfare of the studentsoutside the classroom that contributes to the growth and development of their personalityalong with active support from the each unit head and other functionaries of the University administration.

There isoneAssociate Dean of the Students Welfare committee, who works with the DSW in co-ordinating the activities of this office.

This committee can also suggest the Vice-Chancellor on matters that enables comfortable stay of students in campus.

  • To prepare, plan and execute programmes for holistic development of the students.
  • For providing Special arrangement as per requirements of women students and differently-abled students.
  • Co-ordinate with the Chief Proctor on matters related to students’ discipline in the University.
  • Select and guide students to participate in various events/programmes outside the University.
  • To ensure amicable Student&teaching staff relationships.
  • Providing psychological counselling support to the students through professional counsellors and Counselling unit of our university
  • Facilitates smooth functioning and helping studentsfor getting fellowships and scholarships from various national/State government & universities.
  • To ensure placement of grievances box at most visible place in all the colleges of our university.
  • Rapid and unbiased solution to various grievances of the students.
  • Conducting orientation/induction program to freshers.

The office of the DSW also organizes orientation program for fresher’s soon after the admissions in the academic year. 

 In the common orientation program the fresher’s are addressed by the Deans/Heads of different schools/Departments/Centres and all the authorities of the university, ICCChairperson, Proctorial Board; Chief Warden and Students’ Counsellors.

Fresher students arealso givencomplete informationregarding thecommon facilities available in the university for their benefit.

  • Implementation of Gender champion activities as per UGC guidelines.

Gender Champions are selectedfrom each course/college. They are trained as responsible leaders who care and create healthy environment within their schools/colleges/academic institutions where girls are treated with dignity and respect.

  • Make Gender Champion Clubs in educational institutions.
  • These clubs organizes group discussions, debates, poster competitions, thematic plays, workshops etcafter identifying gaps in gender equality relatingto that school/college.
